I looked on her personalizer and said it was available, however on talking to PandO the client has to wait another 3 months so PandO can confirm disabled access to the carriage of the train. I am not sure why they couldn't confirm her booking now?
Flam is a very picturesque town in Norway and this railway journey is much sought after. here is a brief description of this tour.
'Discover the Flåm Railway - an incredible train journey from the mountain station at Myrdal on the Bergen Railway, down to Flåm station nestled in the innermost corner of the Aurlandfjord.
Each year, this exciting stretch of railway attracts people from all corners of the world, making the Flåm Railway one of Norway's major and most spectacular tourist attractions.'
This made me think of the logistics cruise lines have to go through to for people travelling in wheelchairs. All the tour transfers have to be disabled friendly and well equipped and the excursion desk need to let everyone whose involved in the tour about how many guests they have and how many coaches to book and pick up and drop off times etc. it is a minefield.
So if you are booked in an accessible cabin on a cruise ship and you want to do a tour, do your homework first, I would not want to hear you missed out.
