Having 3 days on board I got so sample most of the cuisine on offer. The buffet in the Lido was very basic. For breakfast there was the omelette station and all your egg requests were catered for. There was the typical cooked breakfast ingredients and croissants, breads fruits the normal you would expect.
In the main restaurant you could have the silver service breakfast which did provide you with different culinary choices. The eggs benedict were fantastic by the way!
Lunch in the Lido was, to be honest disappointing. You had a choice of meats or fish and loads of different salads. The Lido is not that big so I guess the choice is limited due to space under the serving plates.
Dinner in the main restaurant was better. Below is a selection of photos of what i chose to eat. Including leek and cheese tarts, fruit cheesecake or as you can see if you are on a diet then you could request no dessert.
The food in the Yacht club (Which is included so no cover charge) was excellent. They had an Indian style starter in a poppadum, 2 types of different soups and main coarse of steak diane which were excellent. The service was superb on board which was my highlight on the ship.
Once the 'Voyager' comes into service I hope Voyages of Discovery will continue with the great food on board and look at their selection in the Lido and possibly review their menu. Also they need to keep their staff as they are a credit to the company.
