I am very saddened to say that a great friend and colleague Andrew 'Drew' Wheddon who worked at www.cruise.co.uk passed away last week at the young age of 30.
Drew was and is a true legend. He was always life and soul of the office making 'Delboy' comments like 'mange tout' and telling jokes.
Drew was diagnosed when he was 18 with testicular cancer. You can read his story by clicking this link. However he battled away and 8 month later he was given the all clear. However the cancer returned in a more aggressive form.
Drew had a rare form of Cancer called Sarcoma and had been battling this disease for a few years.
Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer that develops in the connective or supporting tissue of the body. There are approximately 3200 new cases diagnosed each year in the UK.
Since his diagnoses, Drew set up the charity called ULegend which is raising money for Sarcoma UK. If you would like to donate any monies i'm sure Drew and his friends and family would be very appreciative.
Also colleagues of mine are running the Birmingham Half Marathon in memory of Drew on Sunday 21st October and next week three colleagues are having a sponsored shave for Drew's charity http://www.justgiving.com/ULEGEND
So if you can spare a few quid then please do so. Rest in peace Drew you are a good guy and you will never be forgotten!
