Princess cruise documentary on ITV!

Princess cruises is set to release a four part documentary on ITV this Summer called 'The Cruise Ship'

This documentary will be a behind the scenes look on board Royal Princess which was launched by HRH Duchess of Cambridge.

The show has been filmed when the ship was States side on its Caribbean and Bahamian itineraries.

This is the latest cruise line to release this type of fly on the wall series.  Celebrity was at the fore front years ago with, funnily enough a documentary with the same title, which brought singer Jane MacDonald into our living rooms.

If you remember Panorama had an undercover reporter on Celebrity Eclipse last year which brought uproar to the cruising fraternity with a highly biased view, in my mind,  on the treatment of crew on board.  Being an ex crew member myself I know what goes on on board above and below decks, however I think it will be an eye opener for most people who have cruised and even those who haven't.

Hopefully ITV will partner with Princess cruises and show the good, bad and ugly of cruising and working and living on a cruise ship, however I unfortunately believe that the editing might be biased towards the cruise line.  I for one will be watching this and I am sure it will bring back memories of my time as a crew member.  As yet I don't know what dates the documentary will be on, Princess have only said it will be aired this Summer.
