Make sure a cruise fit's you!

So the festive season has finished and we have all put on a few extra Christmas pounds.  I went to the sales to try and get a new pair of work trousers and to my dismay my waist line had increased by a a few inches. I was consoled by a friend who said it depends on which shop I buy said trousers from as different shops trouser sizes' vary quite a lot.  So I tried another shop and low and behold I found some which fit and they were my original size.  I hadn't put on as much as I had thought!

'This is not me by the way'!!!

Okay here is the tedious link between that story and cruising.  Always do your homework regarding which cruise line you want to sail with.  Some lines cater very well for children and some don't.  Some ships are adults only.  Fred Olsen are smaller more personable ships and don't have the glitz and glamour of the American lines.  This doesn't mean they are worse at all, smaller ships can visit smaller ports and so you can visit ports which the larger ships cannot get into.

Cunard are a more formal ship so dressing for dinner in suits, ball gowns and tuxedos is the normal thing to do on board at dinner. The drinks on board P&O are the best value for money.  NCL are a freestyle cruise line and more relaxed than other cruise lines.

So you can see, always do a little work yourself so you choose the right ship and check out the Itinerary too to make sure the ship is visiting the ports you want to see.

You know what you want so don't just book a cruise without checking 'the waist size' with different cruise lines first.
